So yes, I'm also a filmmaker. I have made a bunch of short films and two features. here's information about all of that. "TOMORROW NIGHT" back in 1998 I made my first feature film. "Tomorrow Night". This was a black and white independant film that I made myself for about 180K dollars. It was an incredibly great experience and I'll always be happy that I made at least one film completely without any interference, even though it sent me into gigantic debt. Tomorrow Night went to Sundance and many other festivals and got some very good reviews but I have not gotten a distributor thus far. I am going to try to make a DVD of Tomorrow Night to sell here myself, but we'll see. Below are some links to reviews and other Press regarding "Tomorrow Night". Just scroll to the bottom of this page. Also, you can watch a trailer of Tomorrow Night right here online.
SHORT FILMS I love making short films . Throughout my career I've always gone back to making short films. One of them, "Ice Cream", went to Sundance and won some awards. My first film "Caesar's Salad" won a couple of awards too. A bunch of my shorts show on Bravo and IFC all the time. I never know when, but people always call me to tell me they caught one at some odd hour. Some people think short films are just something you make because you can't make a feature. I reject that. i think a short film is to a feature film, as a short story is to a novel. I think it's as valid an artform and it's too bad there isn't more of an outlet for them. If you would like to see my short films, I have made a DVD of them which you can buy here for $20.00. This is a DVD that I created myself. I just threw all my shorts together, made some simple menus, and sent it off to a DVD factory. It was a fun project and I just wanted people to be able to see the shorts so BUY ONE!. You can also go here to see clips of the shorts online. and to get other information about them. Also regarding shorts, about a year ago, I hosted a tv program called "Short Cuts", which is occasionally syndicated to PBS stations around the country. It's a show all about short films and short film making. You can find out more about it at their info page: www.shortcuts.org . |
