Please use your hands to buy tickets and motivate the body you’re attached to to enter the theater so the eyes and ears can watch the movie for you.

The movie plays next week on WEDNESDAY JULY 12th in REGAL theaters in 68 more cities (Denver and Austin just added) Go here for a full list.

And starting tomorrow, Thursday July 8, full runs begin in Sedona Azand Spokane Wa, as well as all across Canada.

If you’d like to know how the movie is doing, here is a press release sent out by the distributor yesterday:

Louis C.K.’s Fourth of July had sold out premieres this weekend at non-traditional venues - New York’s Beacon, Boston’s Shubert and Chicago’s Vic - and the film formally opened at the Village East by Angelika and Laemmle’s Monica Film Center, with sold out shows requiring a move to a bigger auditorium, for an astonishing total B.O. gross of $219,100.  These are powerful indications that the audience for more personal, independent films will go back to cinemas when there’s something they want to see. Fourth of July will open across the U.S. and Canada on more than 100 screens in the coming weeks, with some shows already selling out well in advance. C.K. said “All of us who made this movie with love are very happy to find that so many people are connecting with the story and the fine performances and enjoying it and laughing together in theaters around the continent.  Hooray for cinema.”

Well that’s about all for this email. I know you’re getting more from me than usual and I’m sorry about that. But I really want to get people out to see this movie. Because that’s why movies get made so that people can see them. And I’m on my own with this so I got to do what I can. Don’t worry, it’ll be over soon.

I’ll probably only email one more time on the 12th, at least to the full list of all of you. If you’re in Canada you’re probably going to get an email from me about show times there. So if you don’t want that email, for god sake‘s get out of Canada.

Speaking of Canada, I’m doing a fuck load of standup dates in Canada in August. Well more like 4. Anyway I’m coming there. Check back on the tour dates page on my website for that mess.  And whatnot.

I love Jesus. And Eric.  And ice cream.  And absolutely no one and nothing else.

Signed,
Louis CK
