MIAMI
Well, I'm back again. Sorry I took some time off of blogging. I've had a bizarre couple of weeks...
I just finished a weekend gig at the Miami Improv in Coconut Grove. It was my first time on the road in a while and it was fun to do the long sets again, and to be a headliner. Unfortunately, I picked a terrible week to be trying to draw crowds in Miami. The Marlins, of course, have been in the playoffs all week, and playing at home. The baseball stadium down here holds about 80,000 people, so it actually holds a nice portion of the city's population and the rest were at home watching on the tube. The largest crowd we had all week was about 100 people, but the people that came were all great. Really great crowds. Smart and responsive. Except for the one guy who projectile vomitted very close to the stage.
The one thing I saw the most of in Miami, was well dressed people vomiting in the streets. It's those fancy colored frozen drinks. I spent one day walking on Miami beach, watching the army of "Beautiful" women walk by with day-glo yellow nylon crammed up their asses. The thing about looking like me in Miami is that these women don't even see me. I'm completely invisible to them. Some of them actually bump into me like "Oh, sorry. I didn't notice there was a person here." Because I don't even come close to rating on their scale.
